Bio:

• Mrs. Kuntzman is a lecturer and the Internship Director . She has held this position since August 2005. She served as the Director of Forensics from 2001 to 2005. As the Internship Director, her duties include interviewing all potential interns, evaluating the performance of current interns, building and maintaining relationships with internship sponsors, and maintaining all internal communication for the Internship program to promote opportunities with internships. Specific courses taught include undergraduate courses in public speaking, advanced public speaking, interpersonal communication, and argumentation and debate. As the Director of Forensics, she coached and directed the debate practicum/forensic team as well as to traveled to more than 30 competitive speaking tournaments where she judged multiple individual events. She also advised the university's chapter of the Pi Kappa Delta and was the lieutenant governor for the southeastern province of Pi Kappa Delta. Additional service at the university level includes Advisor to the Freshmen Learning Community, member of the Director of Forensics recruiting committee, member on two Introduction to Public Speaking textbook committees, reviewer for Argumentation and Debate textbook, Advantage Program mentor, and departmental representative to Explore UNCC. Her teaching career started in 1995 when she was awarded a teaching assistantship at Marshall University and later was awarded the Catherine Cummings Pedagogy Award for excellence in teaching.
